Madd Gear Pro (MGP)

Madd Gear Pro (MGP) was founded by Mike Horne in 2002 in Australia under the name MADD.

He wanted to give the children and young people the opportunity of a new action sport. Madd Gear came to Germany in 2010.

Today's stunt scooter idols include Ryan Williams, Jordan Clark and Claudius Vertesi.

Stunt Scooter General

The big difference between a stunt scooter and a "normal" scooter is the area of use.

Stunt scooters are mainly used for tricks and high jumps in a skate park.

Therefore, they are not foldable or height-adjustable. The developers have placed emphasis on stability.

New stunt scooter development tries to save weight and improve the individual components without loss of stability.

Since this is an action-packed sport, in our opinion the right protective clothing is an absolute must.

This includes a suitable helmet, good knee pads and sturdy shoes.

To get a first impression of what is possible, here is a small video from MGP:

Size of the Stunt Scooter

The optimal size of a stunt scooter depends on each person's individual preference and skill level.

Usually the area between the hip and the navel is used as a guide. If you stand next to the stunt scooter,

the top of the handlebar should end there. If you are unsure, we will be happy to advise you.

Care of your Stunt Scooter

Your Madd Gear stunt scooter is like a good friend. It needs to be looked after and treated with care.

Therefore avoid contact with water and sand so that you can enjoy your stunt scooter for a long time.

Cleaning your Stunt Scooter

Your MGP stunt scooter is a mechanical device. For this reason, it also needs to be cleaned and adjusted from time to time.

To clean your stunt scooter it has to be dismantled into its individual parts and each part has to be freed from dust and dirt with the help of a dry cloth. Please do not use water, soap or detergents. After this is done and your stunt scooter shines again, take a little grease or something similar and lightly grease the bearings so that the contact surfaces move freely against each other. During assembly, particular attention must be paid to the correct position of the bearings. Before you can completely reassemble your stunt scooter, you have to adjust the IHC Compression. To do this, take the right tool and turn the compression (IHC Bolt), i.e. the large screw on top, hand-tight. You control the ease of movement of the fork. It takes a bit of feeling to choose the right strength. Finally, the bar is reattached and you can start again.

If you need help with this, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Appeal to Parents

Please take the time to watch your children. Some of their advances in stunt scooters are so rapid

you can miss it. Your support is very valuable to them. Furthermore, it can't hurt

to know what a tailwhip or a barspin is. This way, the communication remains understandable for both sides.
